Gamers from all over are extremely excited about the new Guildwars. The beta version of Guildwars 2 is rumored to be coming out in 2012. I suppose that Arenanet wanted to let everyone get a head start on buying their iPads. Why would anyone need to get iPads? Well that’s the April Fools making the rounds at the moment, Guildwars 2 is going to be releasing exclusively to the iPad! Yes, this is big news , Computers are going out and iPads are coming in. I am sure that by APril 2012 this will be even truer.
There are some cool things that you can do right now that will give you a Guildwars 2 head start however.
As you know the Hall of Monuments is a revered chamber that is in the Far Shiverpeaks. This is where trophies and tapestries celebrate the victories and achievements of heroes.
There is a new web application called the Hall of Monuments Reward Calculator. You will be able to see the rewards that your Guildwars 2 characters will get from your Guildwars account. This is a pretty nifty little feature since it will let you kind of get a Guildwars 2 head start and let you get a peak into the awesomeness of the game.
It is not hard to start racking up the Guildwars 2 head start rewards. They are based on the achievements and honors that are accumulated by all the characters that are on your gaming account. These will be collected in the Hall of Monuments which is available in Guildwars: Eye of the North. These monuments in the Hall of Monuments are going to provide your Guildwars 2 characters with exclusive titles, items and companions.
To better understand exactly what is going to go on you can use the Hall of Monuments Reward Calculator to understand how the benefit are being calculated, discover what other items are going to be available when Guildwars 2 launches and determine what rewards you have unlocked. The only thing required is that you have a valid character name to enter into the calculator.
Now if only I can remember my Guildwars log in.
