"A family of four can make up to $60,000 a year in many states and still have their children be eligible for health insurance coverage through federally funded programs," said Phil Lebherz of the nonprofit organization.

There are programs for women who are pregnant, people who've had their COBRA run out and state insurance pools for those with preexisting medical conditions.
