Appreciating A Blushing Problem: The Two Stages

By:

Most people that suffer from a blushing problem do not class it as a phobia initially. They start off aware that they blush easily and, though it troubles them, it does not change their lives in any important way. They may just think of it as a passing phase and so can get on with their lives as normal.

However, when the blushing problem worsens, it can turn into a compelling fear that can ruin your life. Though you worry about blushing, many times other people cannot actually see it.

Like most phobias, Erythrophobia starts off harmlessly enough but worsens over time. There are two distinct stages - at first you blush easily every now and again, and later, as your self-consciousness increases, you begin blushing more excessively.

If you do blush easily it may look like a problem to you just now. However, it is only when you start blushing excessively that you will understand just how bad it can get. It can totally ruin you physically as well as mentally, and can give you a nervous breakdown. You will spend all your time worrying about it and this will completely take over your life. This can in fact make you blush more.

Blushing easily may only occur a few times a week but excessive blushing is a few times a day. Blushing easily may just in fact be slight blushing but the latter is many times intense and will mentally consume you.

This can be very concerning and some people get flustered because of excessive blushing. However, you can learn to control your blushing over a period of time. You can increase your resistance to it, so to speak, and also reduce the intensity of your blushing.

Once you start dealing with the problem of Erythrophobia then it becomes easier over time, but actually starting to deal with the problem poses the most difficulty to any individual. Any negativity will be used to talk yourself out of it and you may become overwhelmed by self-pity. This is not helped by the fact that very few people understand the phobia, unless they suffer from it themselves of course.

If you do keep at it and follow through though, you will soon find that it becomes easier as you go along and the progress you make will persuade you to continue with your self-help. All you need is a little ray of hope and you will soon discover that it becomes much easier to handle your blushing problem. It can even help you to begin living a normal life once more.
